Yate and Chipping Sodbury are
situated at the southern end of the Cotswold Escarpment. Highgrove House home to Prince Charles
is some 15 miles Northeast.
Yate and Chipping Sodbury were part of
Gloucestershire until 1974 when they became part of the newly formed
county of Avon. However the world keeps spinning and in 1996 Avon
was abolished and the area became part of South Gloucestershire. |
