The Award Winning Gardens of Beechwell House in Yate are open to the public again on Sunday 12th September from 1pm to 5pm. This town garden is filled with rare and exotic plants from around the world, including 8 different types of palm trees. There also many types of Banana trees, Bamboos, tree ferns and succulents. See some plants here that you’ll only see at Eden or 2000 miles further south! Entrance is £3 per adult (children free), and there’s delicious cream teas & cakes. All the money goes to worthy charities like Macmillan.

Beechwell House has also been featured recently in a number of national gardening magazines. The garden is at 51 Goose Green, Yate, South Glos, BS37 5BL. More information on www.beechwell.com.

Mop Fair

A twice-yearly event with funfair and stalls. Held on the last Friday and Saturday in March and September in the main street.

Chipping Sodbury Farmers Market 2nd Saturday and Last Thursday of the month. The Thursday market begins at 9am and closes at 1pm.
